The list of possibilities are endless, so go forth and create. Please find the attached files below to peruse for the sketch, my take and prize pack.

Submission & Cut off time:
Please submit your entries onto the new ning site in the album provided (September Sketch Challenge) or to my email address scrap.n.art@hotmail.com by the 29th of September 2009, this will allow ample time for the judging to take place in the slide show area and the winner will be announced on the 30st of September 2009.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING SUBMISSIONS TO MAGAZINES or WEBSITES:

Something has come to mind recently in regards to Submissions for either magazines or web based sites. I love the thought that you use my sketch challenges as inspiration and that you participate, but requirements for submitting layouts to magazines require that you use original based layouts of your own.

I have no problems with you using my sketches to submit as I have had a couple of ladies recently now submit there entries into different magazines and they have been accepted, which is terrific, but I hate being the bearer of bad news and that is that if you are going to submit your layouts that have been produced by you, but the sketch being by me the original creator, could you please give credit where credit is due, by stating this a S.N.A. Sketch Designs by Angela Bailey.

I too use digital elements from digital scrappers and it MUST be noted on any submission either web based or magazine submission that you credit the original creator of such elements, sketches or etc. I hope this doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouths, but fair is fair and I know I would do the same for you if it was the other way around.Thank you for your time and for participating.

Keep up the great work ladies and I look forward to seeing your sketch creations.

Kind regards Angie xox

Centre Stage Artist in the SPOTLIGHT

Good Morning Ladies

I have a wonderful opportunity every month of showcasing some of the talented Scrap artist around Australia and over sea's and this month I bring you another Spotlight Artist.
Please welcome.............................................

Artist in the SPOTLIGHT
Cindy Roberts

Cindy Roberts layout called "Earrings "
Biography:

I have been scrapbooking for 4 years now and am inspired by my family, especially my two beautiful daughters. I want my daughters to have a reminder of the events in our lives, and I journal to express what can’t be shown in photos alone. Since the passing of my mum 5 years ago the need to take photos and express my feelings seems so important and necessary and I try to write from the heart. Because of this I am learning to express myself more openly.

But I also scrap for myself, for the creativity it brings out in me and for the opportunity to relax and have ‘me’ time (with my scrappy friends!!). I only wish I could scrap more often. I had always enjoyed crafting - loving cross stitch, dabbling in beading and quilting and still enjoying sewing. But it wasn’t until I came across scrapbooking magazines that I dreamed my craft would ever take on a life of its own, unleashing my own creative juices to throw away the pattern books and CREATE.

At the moment I would describe my style as clean and simple with a structured, balanced look. I love the use of colour. Bright pages are common for me, but I also enjoy the natural tones of browns, blacks and whites.

I am a DT member for Angie, designing class kits and instructions for Scrap’n’Art Journey classes and I am also a DT member for Journaling Junkie, a blog with regular challenges based around journaling.

Last year I was selected in the Top 50 for the Scrapbook Memories Masters Competition 2008, receiving 2 Honorable Mentions in the Masters edition of the magazine. I am truly loving this craft and enjoy the challenge of extending myself and creating art and lifelong memories.

Thank you to the Challenge Chics and the retreat in Rocky.

Good Afternoon Ladies

Recently I attended the Challenge Chics retreat in Rockhampton (FNQ). I had a wonderful time meeting the ladies and we had a lot of laughs, got to scrap a little and mostly, just enjoy each others company.

The retreat ran from the Friday through to the Sunday. We had a couple of outing lunches at clubs and the Saturday lunch was OMG! HUGE HUGE HUGE!

We completed a couple of classes during the weekend, a collage class from Deb Mitchell which can be seen below, I tell you that lady is a gem at Collage!
I also taught a class using the beautiful Kaiser range and also Chris Wormald had made a mystery pack for us to complete. We also had the chance to complete a couple of layouts ourselves in between socialising and lessons and mine can be seen below.

My Class that I taught. Originally I left the top right hand corner area open for the girls to make their own titles for the layout, I completed the rest of my layout once I got home from holidays and called it "You are certainly Unique"
A layout I completed without having a challenge added to it! "Family" A layout for my dear friend Virginia from High School who come to visit me and the kids whilst staying at the Gold Coast.
I have place a slide show at the top of the blog for all to see of the ladies and I, it was much easier to download onto a slide then to keep uploading onto here, so feel free to browse through.

All up a had a great time and it was lovely to put faces the names after the 2 years of of knowing the ladies. A huge thank you to Deb and family for allowing us to spend this quality time together and offering up your house for us to stay.

Next years retreat is making its way to the BIG BANANA country here at Coffs which I will be co-ordinating, a year couldn't come around fast enough to spend more time with the ladies from the Challenge Chics, I felt a bit lost when I returned home I only wished I could have stored you all away in my suitcase to bring you home with me!!!

Thanks again to all who attended, looking forward to next years blast.

Kaiser Craft Competition "Scrap your Summer"

Good Afternoon Ladies

Thought I would share this with you if you haven't seen it already. Kaiser Craft are holding a competition at the moment called Scrap your Summer. The competition consists of creating a layout using either the "Pina Colada" or "Offshore" Ranges of paper or both and create a layout based on your summer and what it means to you.

You have to create the layout, display it on your blog with an accompanying "Summer Logo" which is underneath here.

Feel free to have a go, you might just be lucky and win both of the complete two ranges of products for your efforts. Follow this link http://www.kaisercraft.net/blog/category/contests/
My Entry is called "Surfs Up" using the Pina Colada Range only.
Thanks to Kaiser for this wonderful opportunity and to showcase one of my most favorite pictures I took this summer.

Taking a Break!

Good Afternoon Ladies

Sorry this post is only coming to you now, but I have been a busy little chicken of late. Finally after 6 long years, I decided to have a little break and get away. I'm also on an important mission to meet with some lovely ladies over the next few days.

I am currently at the Gold Coast for a week prior to going to the Challenge Chics Scrap Retreat in Rockhampton, which is going to be fabulous....

Whilst I'm in the Goldie, I'm going to catch up with some old school mates from high school, meet with some new friends from my site and the Challenge Chics and also take the kids touring around and to Movie World for a day.

The last two days has seen me travelling around seeing my mum and gramps off to the U.K. for 2 weeks and then Jay of to Whitsundays for his little annual holiday. It will soon be my turn to go visit the girls, I cant tell you how excited I am to be meeting some of you and very privileged.

Anyhow will keep you updated on events etc etc, I will be officially offline on Thursday thru to the Sunday as I will be in Rocky without Internet excess. Until then keep posted, will post some pics of us on holidays soon.

I Won a challenge over at Ready Set Scrap

Good Evening Ladies

Wow! I am very honoured to have won a challenge over at Ready Set Scrap. The challenge I won was the Colour Challenge set by Janine Kennedy. The colour choice was Black, White, Cream and Sky Blue.

I used a Sepia tone photograph to go with it to blend it all together. I am loving these challenges and it really makes you think outside the square on something I would never dream of placing together so thank you Janine for your wonderful inspiration of colour choice last month.

The gallery was bursting with unbelievable talent and I feel truly honored to be chosen the overall winner. Thank you Ready Set Scrap and to Meant to Be scrapbook website for my lovely prize:)

Here is my winning entry called "A Proud Uncle"
