Scraptastic South West A-Z Challenge letter (X)

Hi there!

I have decided to put the Challenge up for Scraptastic South West a little earlier for the month of February, because there will be 3 letters for this month (X, Y & Z) to complete the A-Z Challenge. Stay tuned by the end of next week for the remaining two letters Y & Z.

The tasks I have set for the letter (X) challenge is to use the colours Red, Brown and Green on the page as well as some doodling around the page and also on the title. I have an example here of what I have created to give you a visual idea.
The choice is yours in regards to what you subject matter is, but the idea is to try something you may or may not have before in regards to colours and doodling.

There is a $20 online gift voucher to the lucky participate who wins the (X) challenge to spend at Scraptastic Southwest. There has to be a minimum of 3 entrants (people) to make the prize valid and fair.
So have a go, you never know and who doesn't like receiving free stuff for there efforts:):)

Scraptastic South West store is at: http://www.scraptasticsouthwest.com.au/

Thanks again Angie ~ DT Member for SSW

My First DIGITAL LAYOUT!

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a fabulous Australia Day Holiday today!

I have been having some fun with Digi Scrapbooking! yes I know, I was very scared of it and thought to myself, I will never know if I don't have a go.

I was visiting the gorgeous Vicki's blog and came across a kit from Sara at Sweet Blossom Designs and thought to myself, hmmmm I just love the design kit and the colour scheme. Without hesitation I decided to create myself a page using the elements and papers from Sara's kit. I wanted to share with you my layout I created called "I'm glad your my sibling" .

I need to do a bit of searching now in regards to how to go about using my photoshop, but I could get very addicted to Digi scrapping for sure!!!! Thanks Sara for sharing your kit and I look forward to seeing more of your inspirational designs in the future.

Please check out Sara's blog called Sweet Blossom Designs on my sidebar options.

Apologies, A Goddess Reminder and update:)

Hi all!

Well apologies first for being a bit slack regarding my blog this last week:( I really just lost a week like that, so much to get done and no time to do it all in, I swear I needed an extra 24 hours in the day to get completed on things.... Never mind here's to the next week:)

The last week has consisted of hospital visits for my upcoming operation in February, I'm becoming a little anxious about the whole thing now, but I'm sure things will be all OK!!! For all who dont know, I have been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, something I never thought would have ever happened to me but has, so a friendly goddess reminder to all who haven't had a pap smear lately HAVE ONE!!! It could save your life:) I will be going in for operation to have a full hysterectomy on the 6th of February, but will try my up most to do some blog surfing whilst I'm in recovery.

Dakota started Pre-school this week and seems to be enjoying it immensely, who would have thought that such a shy little girl would have come out of her shell and is going forth leaps and bounds:):) Makes my job a lot easier dropping her off to school and knowing she is happy.

Curtis starts Kindergarten next week and is very excited about his new adventure, I do hope that he enjoys it as much as his sister seems to be with Pre-school:)

I have won a Butterfly Award from Sharon Dalton, thank you so much Hun, I will display this with pride and pass onto fellow bloggers who are inspiring other scrappers as well as myself :)
I have had a very overwhelming response to my sketch challenge this month and am totally in awe of all your efforts, I feel this is going to be the hardest decision yet for my Centre Stage artist in the spotlight judge Nat Williams. So many talented layouts each with their own unique style and qualities! Thank you to everyone who is participating in the challenge and look forward to announcing the winner at the end of the month:)

Well that is enough of my rambling on, I will endeavour to make a better effort this week regarding my posting on my blog and I look forward to seeing your all around the board somewhere:)

Until I post again, take care of yourselves and each other:)

My kids are growing up!

Hi everyone

Just wanted to share with you a photo I took this morning of my kids together, probably for the last time as Dakota started Pre-school today and Curtis will start Kindergarten in Feb, so I'm going to try and take as many as possible up until they both spread their wings and go full term at school.

I was a little upset today as I realised I wont have them together at home anymore:(:(

Anyhow a BIG transition in their little lives and mine too, but all good just the same!

Thanks for looking Hugs Angie xox

It's time for Cake:)

Hi Ladies
Thought I would share a couple of pictures that I took of Dakota getting ready to blow out the candles on her Birthday Cake! Yes I made a large number THREE cake, pretty pink with lots of little candy stars that went on top. We had such a HOT day, the icing just melted everywhere on her cake, even putting it all together was a task and a half.
I got two ring cake blueberry tea cakes and decided to cut the number three out and ice it. It was a little rough around the top and virtually everywhere, but she loved it just the same and enjoyed eating it too:)
Thanks for all your well wishes for her special day, I have printed them off and placed them into her little keepsake box for future years. It was a great day overall and we had plenty of laughs.
Thanks for allowing me to share this with you:) Mwah & Hugs Angie xox

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY DAKOTA

Today is my darling daughters birthday! I just wanted the whole world to know, how much she means to us! We are blessed to have you in our lives Dakota:) Daddy, Mummy and Curtis would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY and BEST WISHES xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
Hi All!

Wow! the weekend went so quickly here! Hope everyone had a fabulous one though:)

Just wanted to share another layout completed for the month of January task at Deb's Creations.

This is my take on the challenge set by the lovely Tanyah. It was to complete a layout using more then 5 squares, bling, embossing either wet or dry, no big titles and the colours of summer (brights).

I used the photo of my kids and their second cousin Paige! This photo was taken at a family reunion we had on the Gold Coast back in April 2008.

I embossed the bottom right hand side of the base page with a Fiskars embossing plate and also the photograph itself at the top and bottom with smaller squares to make it look like a film strip.

I used bling for the flourish designs around the flower and the more then 5 squares concept was put into place when I arranged these at the top right hand corner of the base page in a pattern with some of these being 3D mounted to enhance them. I titled the layout "SMILE" because the kids just look so happy!

Thanks for allowing me to share this one and I had heaps of fun doing this challenge so thanks heaps Tanyah:):)

This is called The Proximity Award.

"These blogs invest and believe in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming". These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.

They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!

Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

Please find my blog nominations for this award:

1. Tracey 2. Shell 3. Vicki 4. Lexie 5. Gayatri

6. Kathie 7. Taryn 8. Francine

Thank you to the lovely Tracey Hunter & Gayatri for this very honorable award and will place it on my blog with PRIDE!

Hey there!

At Deb's Creations this month there is a challenge for the Scrapbook Barn to create a layout using the colours Red, Brown, Black & White and do anything you really want to design your layout.

I have been hanging onto this photo for quite some time now of My Brother, Sister-in-law with Nephew Christopher. It was taken out side Christopher's kindergarten where he was having his graduation Day.

I used the beautiful range of Kaisercraft Sukura Range of P/papers, Basic Grey Alpha Stickers, Adornit Die Cut Range of P/papers, Kaisercraft Bling flourishes and lots of Dimensional Liquid on the flowered areas of the layout.

Thanks for looking Angie xox
Hi Ladies

I thought I would share my take on the sketch design for January, as sketches are so fun to do.

This layout is of myself and my kids. This year will mark a big milestone in both their lives with both of them starting Pre-school and Kindy.

The journalling reads on the love hearts regarding when they start and the journalling under the title reads: HOME with ME, until you learn to spread your wings and fly.

Centre Stage Artist
Nat Williams

Hi, I'm Nat, I am 35 and live in WA. I luv Scrapbooking and have recently got into a little Web Design

My 3 children are my life and my inspiration. Josh (14) Tash (13) & Jake (8)

I luv to scrap about them and their crazy antics. Started scrapping in 2005 while attempting to keep the kids occupied over the school holidays! We all fell in luv with it and it has blossomed from there.

My scrapping is best described as 'schizophrenic' as I like to play with many different style, techniques and products depends on where my mood (and mojo) are taking me at the time

I like to dabble in Digital Scrapping too. I have been published 8 times in Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations.

I also have a little site which is a great place to hang out with some gorgeous girls who all have a passion for scrapping.

Come by sometime and check it out
