What is on your agenda for the weekend?

Hi Ladies

Well another weekend comes around, god this year is certainly flying!! EKKKK

Ive had a pretty eventful week, hospital appointments for my operation, orientation day for Curtis which went better then expected (thankgod) groceries, ordering, curtains made, massive house spring clean and scrapping finally!

Looking forward to this weekend, mind you need to still do some much needed washing and change beds, so that will be things I need to get completed this morning sometime. The weather here has been off and on, one minute lovely and then next severe thunderstorms and hail.

Looking forward to getting some scrapping down this weekend, Ive virtually had a week off, cause I just had so many things to get organised. So now I feel refreshed and ready to go again, maybe found some more MOJO too. hehehe

A friendly reminder too, that this is the last week to get in entries for the October Sketch challenge I'm holding on the blog, so come on girls get those entries in, you have to be in it to WIN IT!!!!!! You can find the sketch on the sidebar of the blog, if you are having trouble viewing it, email me and I will send it to your email address for a better view!

Ok hunnies, off to get things organised for the morning then I will be back later on to go surfing myself on your wonderful blogs!!!!!!

Take care of yourselves and each other until we speak again.

It's Orientation Day for Curtis

Hi Ladies

Thought I would share this special time with you in regards to my son Curtis, who is having his first orientation day today for Kindergarten. The session runs from 9.15 am - 11.00 am.

He is so excited about it all, which to me is fantastic! To be honest I think I am more nervous then he is. This is going to be such a special time for him to bond with new friends and old ones from his pre-school. His teachers name is Mr Haywood, yes unusual for a kindergarten teacher to be male, but I think it will be a good influence on the kids indeed.

His next orientation days are on the 27th of October for a longer period of time and then a full school day being on 3rd November 2008. There is only going to be 19 students in his class consisting of 12 boys and 7 girls.

Looking forward to sharing some more of his journey with you all and Ill try to take a photo of each session and his thoughts about being independent.

Wish me luck!!!! LOL I hope I don't turn into a sooky lala

Thanks for listening. HUGS and MWAH Angie.

It's a small world AFTER ALL!!!

Hi there!

Well how exciting is this! I was blog surfing through Heidi Kelley's blog and how much inspiration there is in there as Kelley is one of Deb's Creations VIP Lounge artist this month and came across that Heidi was a design team member for guess who "Scrap.n.art". As I was most interested in finding out who had the same business name as me and where abouts in the world they are.

I went along to ScrapN'art.com (Ezine) an Internet magazine site for scrap booking in the USA!

I thought to myself, Ill write to the administration team and let them know who I am and what I am doing over here in the land Down under as a home based business. Well I waited with anticipated breath for the response.

I received an email later that day with good news and excitement from the Editor of the magazine and guess what?????? It gets more interesting with the editor of the magazine being also named ANGELA, yes can you believe it, same name, same business name and even freakier our birth dates are the same day but different months.

Even though we are on other sides of the world, I look forward to keeping in contact with Angela from ScrapN'art.com and building a fruitful relationship. Talk about great minds think alike!

Thanks for listening:):):)

Angie ~ aka Scrap.n.art (down under) LOL

Its all coming together, my vision is alive!

Hi Ladies

Just wanted to share some pictures of my class area here at home! Jay was kind enough to give me half the shed! lol and believe me its deffintly HIS/HERS.

Its been a long time since my vision came to me regarding what I wanted, but the end result is truly fabulous and I cant thank Jay enough for all his hard work and dedication. I took progression shots to show the difference between start to finish product!.
Only a couple of little thing to go now, I have some new curtains being made and I have more stock that is arriving in Late October early November then I will be fully operational. Looking forward to getting started!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time out to see my little part of my scrapping world I call SCRAP.N.ART!

IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!

I know to some of you this may seem a personal question or maybe not, my whole point of this post is to make someone else I care, share and scrap with aware of when was the last time you had a Paps Smear????? Yes that dreaded advertisement, sometimes it annoys you other times it makes you get off you butt and doing something about it!!!

Well I'm one of those ones that made the appointment and thank god I did! I have pre-cancer stage 3 after my results have come back from the gynecologist. I now have another appointment on the 21st of this month to see just how far I now have to go in relation to either having them lanced or a cone biopsy to see if I need a full hysterectomy!

So what I'm really trying to say is to all you wonderful ladies out there, that haven't had one recently, go and do it!!! Its been two and half years since my last Pap Test! who would have thought hey that in two and half years something like this could develop, not in my wildest dreams, would I have thought this could have even happen to me!

I just thank the big guy upstairs every day I have 2 beautiful children and that if worst comes to worst and I do need the hysterectomy that I have them in my life. It is a strong presence in my mother's side of the family with some already having the hysterectomy even at the early age of 26 yrs old! I am playing the waiting game now and I will have to wait and see what the gynecologist says on the 21st of October in relation to what comes next with me!

I'm keeping a positive mind and doing alot of meditation and scrapbooking, so that I feel is doing my soul good anyhow. Its really out of my hands now, but If I can only get one of you to go have a test if you haven't, then please do so!

MWAH and HUGS ANGIE:) xo
