Well another month is here and we are half way through the year!!! God where has that time gone...

I have a wonderful opportunity every month of showcasing some of the talented Scrap artist around Australia and over sea's and this month I bring you another. Please welcome.............................................

Biography:

My name is Theresa Smith and I live in Rockhampton, Queensland.

I have been married for nine years and am a stay at home Mum to my three children. I have one daughter, Claire, who is seven and two sons, Brent and Adrian, who are five and three.

I have been scrapping for seven years now, and have evolved constantly during that time to get to the style I am now. I love stitching on my projects and creating dimension and texture. As well as scrapbooking myself, I am sharing the craft with my children, who thoroughly enjoy it.

I am the design team manager for Deb’s Creations and teach classes here in Rockhampton for Deb. Away from this, I enjoy photography, going on outings with my family and spending time with friends, as well as relaxing with a good book.

All in all, I have very busy days but wouldn’t have it any other way. I try to squeeze as much scrapbooking into each day as I can, and if that doesn’t happen, then I make up for it on the next day!

Below you will find the Sketch design for June and also my take on the sketch as a preview and the Prize pack for the month.

How you interpret the sketch is initially up to you. You can choose what ever Papers, Embellishments and Theme you like.

All I ask is that you follow the sketch and keep in mind the outlay of it all. You may choose to mirror it, flip it, turn it on its side or even make it a double.

The list of possibilities are endless, so go forth and create.

It's been a while:(

Good Afternoon Ladies

So sorry I haven't been around of late, I have been very slack with regards to the blog, but life is hectic, what more can I say!! SORRY

Its been a awful week here at home. Flooding, high winds, no power for three days, so I have had time to catch up on the much needed house work.

I have managed to complete only one challenge so far for Deb's Creations, a very poor effort from me, but I will hopefully get a couple more completed this week for the end of the month. The layout I have completed is for Lexie at the Scrapbook Barn. I called the layout "LOVE" here is my example of what I have created.

On another note, I would like to thank everyone who has entered this month's Scrap.n.art Sketch Challenge. Beautiful entries ladies and yet again its going to be very hard for Gayatri to just chose one winner.

A friendly reminder to those who would still like to participate, you have only until the 30th of May and up until Midnight to submit your entries so that I can place them into the slide show for judging to take place on the 31st of May 2009.

Hello Ladies

Here is the latest Technicolour - T Challenge for the month of May for the wonderful SSW (Scraptastic South West).

Please refer to the previous post in March regarding description of the new challenge and rules.

Please read from my list below of requirements needed.

1. Technique ~ Sketch Design

2. Colours ~ Black, White, Pink

3. Theme ~ Expression/s

Your objective is to create a layout using these elements above, but the emphasis being on the Technique. Please follow the sketch as a basic guideline. How you interpret it is up to you. You must use (3) three photographs in Black & White though.

Here is my example of what I have done using the above requirements. My layout is called "How you Express Yourself".

Layouts are to be submitted to: enquiries@scraptastisouthwest.com.au by the 31th of May 2009 with the cut off time of 9.00 pm EST.

The winner will be announced the next day being the 1st of June 2009 on the Scraptastic South West Blog.

There is a $20 voucher up for grabs for the lucky winner of the competition to spend in the Scraptastic South West online store.

There has to be a minimum of three (3) participants (people) for the competition to be valid, equal and fair.

Meeting Mandy

Hi there!

Well most of you are aware I live on the North Coast of NSW, but my hubbies family live in Sydney and we had some things to take care of that we have been putting off for a while now, so we decided to pack the kids up and go down for the night.

We left here on Friday morning around 8 am, knowing that we would have a good 6-7 hour trip ahead of us. I mentioned to Jason (hubby) the night before hand, it would be really nice if I could meet up with Mandy, because I knew she lived close by to Jay's parents, so without hesitation I emailed Mandy to see if we could meet up with each other, if only for an hour it was better then not meeting her at all.

So Mandy emailed me back and we arranged to meet at Gloria Jeans to at least have a coffee, meet each other and chin wag! LOL So the moment finally come, I was going to meet her, I walked up and big hugs and a kiss and I introduced my family to Mandy. We sat inside had a coffee and chin waged and its unbelievable that Mandy and I actually went to the same school when we were kids.

One hour swiftly went passed and we had to go unfortunately, we had prior dinner arrangements with other friends and we were also heading back north the next day as we still had so many friends to still visit. I so wished I had longer to spend with Mandy, she is the most beautiful person, funny and compassionate, I just wanted to take her home with us.

I hope that this means more trips to Sydney Mandy and a longer time to sit and really get to know you better, thank you so much for taking the time out to meet my family I truly appreciate it and loved every second, I didn't want to say goodbye and am so thankful I have the Internet to stay in touch with you and all the other ladies too.

I couldn't resist having a photo taken with Mandy, so please find our attached photo. I cant wait to meet up with you again and next time its the BBQ and a promise Jason's catch of the week!!! LOL
